Naval aircraft plane carried out maritime surveillance operation in the Fifth Naval Zone
On Friday, December 4, a maritime surveillance operation was carried out by means of the P-68 aircraft plane of the Fifth Naval Zone on a group of two Chinese-flagged fishing vessels, which are in transit to the Atlantic and currently sailing in the Exclusive Economic Zone.

Through the use of the Chilean Navy aircraft, the normal transit of foreign ships was verified, which are not using their fishing gear or nets. Thanks to the overflight, in addition, photographic records were obtained, contributing to the GRAFIMAR ship control and monitoring system.
This activity is part of the Maritime Surveillance Operation of the squid fishing fleet carried out by The General Directorate of the Maritime Territory and Merchant Marine Institution, led by the Naval Operations Command.
