that displays video and command/control for Cloud Cap gimbals and is included in the Gimbal Developer’s Kit.
ViewPoint Ground Based Control Software Application
  • Simple, touch screen-friendly user interface. No joystick necessary, full-screen support.
  • Picture-in-Picture window supporting swapping live video and moving-map.
  • OpenStreetMap and BingMap imagery supported on map.
  • Improved tools for verifying elevation coverage.
  • User-selectable units, including MGRS and UTM coordinates.
  • One click on the controller stores a record of the current image location and a snapshot of the item of interest.
  • Path Track:  Auto-line tracker for pipeline and utility inspection or road / coastal monitoring.
  • Real-time video mosaicing.
  • The ViewPoint application is provided without license as a demo application with limited performance and/or
features and can be downloaded from the Downloads tab.
  • A single license is included in the gimbal developer’s kit.
  • With purchase of a software license, User Name, and Key Number from Cloud Cap Technology, the ViewPoint
software will operate as a full featured application.
  • Advanced feature plug-in performance may require separate license agreements and costs.
  • The ViewPoint software is licensed on a per-seat basis. Use of the same User Name and Key number for
multiple seats, or distribution of the software license User Name and Key Number to any other individual or
organization is expressly prohibited without procuring a seat license User Name and Key Number(s) for the
    new the new operator/owner seats.
  • Training Support: Reducing flight cost and risk is one of the most valuable uses for the simulation by providing a low cost training and practice environment for Gimbal Operators.
  • Product Demonstration: User’s can download the simulation and evaluate the product, increasing the probability that the system will meet their needs.
  • Testing and Development Support: When used in conjunction with the TASE150 Gimbal or the TASE150 Gimbal simulation and a user interface, the tool supports development and testing of hardware and software modifications. It can also be used to evaluate tracking performance with the optional
  • Tracker Plug-In or plug-ins developed by other third party developers.
  • Simulated Video: Video can be simulated at whatever level of resolution a user can obtain for anywhere in the world from a variety of standard image data formats. Map data can be downloaded from WMS services.
  • Gimbal/Camera Pointing Control: Control of the Gimbal is based on the tracking solution and keeps the camera pointed at the target—greatly reducing the workload of the operator.
  • Single Click Track Initialization: Users can use a joystick to initiate a track on a target with a single click as they are scanning the camera through a scene. Alternately, a track can be initiated with a right click of the mouse button when the mouse is placed over a target of interest on the ViewPoint display. An adjustable size box is placed over the track.
  • Electronic Stabilization and Deinterlacing: Stabilization of the image and removal of artifacts from interlaced image frames provides a high quality display, significantly enhancing the usefulness of the displayed video stream to operators and analysts.
  • Target Localization: Target localization is provided based on SRTM or DTED data and the TASE´s estimate of its own position.

The Directional Antenna Plugin provides an integrated solution to either Piccolo Command Center (PCC) or the gimbal user interface (ViewPoint) for control of a third party positioner. The plugin currently supports the following positioners:
