Unmanned Aircraft
are uniquely qualified to perform a range of data collection missions where it would be dangerous and/or expensive to accomplish with manned aircraft. Whether collecting meteorological data over long distances or in severe weather conditions, or doing map collection flights, Cloud Cap’s
Piccolo autopilots and
TASE stabilized camera gimbals provide the autonomy and levels of performance to provide robust and high value solutions.
- Piccolo natively supports communications with Iridium satellite communications – key to providing meteorological data and command and control for UAVs that are on long distance, beyond line-of-sight flights.
- TASE gimbals provide geo-pointing allowing accurate location of objects of interest.
- TASE gimbal Path-track functionality allows efficient autonomous mapping of coat-lines, rivers, wetlands, etc that would be difficult or manually intensive.
- Mosaiced mapping functionality will provide Google-earth / GIS format maps for near-real-time analysis – In development.
- Multi-spectral gimbal configurations and sensor fusion image processing allows presentation of high value imagery showing environmental impacts only seen through analysis of responses in different spectral bands.
